Why Are Forums So Important
Forums are a great place to share your ideas, learn, interact and advertise for free. They are a good medium to discuss, and make friends with people who share a common interest, and in our case it happens to be selling online.

Participating in forums in your niche is a great idea, if you want to drive some traffic to your website and create some valuable back links.

With forums, it is very important that you remain active. Contribute on a daily basis and try giving outstanding pieces of advice to fellow members of the forum. It is also important that you position yourself as an expert in your niche. The main reason here is to earn some value and credibility. When people notice that you have something to offer, they will come visit your website and some will buy the products you recommend.

Forums allow members to add what is called a signature file to their posts, so anytime you summit a new post or comment on someone's post, a link linking back to their website appears at the bottom of the post. Just as in article writing where your article is your Give and your Resource box is your take, with Forums, the good advice you provide is your give, while your signature file is your take. Put your full information and if possible contact details in your signature file.

The unique links to your website which you generate while posting messages on forums can be of some help to you as far as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is concerned. The search engine spiders crawl forums and will give your website a high rank based on the links you have in your signature files. So make sure you include your signature file in all your posts.

It is rare to have an opportunity to join a website in it's puberty and ride the wave to it's maturity and hopefuly old age. Bonanzle is that site and I am so proud to be a part of what will be the greatest site on the web. My journey began in October 2008 and since then the member count has grown from 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 and recently 40,000 with over 1.5 million items listed. Sometimes the item count goes down drastically and everyone wonders why. It happens because the Boyz of Bonanzle actually monitor this site and have no problem deleting fake items and sometimes 'fake' sellers.

There are a group of Bonanzlers who have heard the calling so to speak. Why don't we get a bunch of Bonanzlers together in Seattle and have lunch with the Boyz? Why don't we get a bunch of Bonanzlers together in Mobile and have an auction with all proceeds going to St. Judes? Why don't we get a bunch of Bonanzlers together in Wichita and have speakers talk about helpful ways to make it on Bonanzle? Well, that is all being done as we speak! A big 'Thank You' goes out to Scott Pooler who created a special website that showcases all BonanzleUp events. I could go on for hours talking about all of the exciting things that are happening at Bonanzle, but I would rather you find them out for yourself. Joining is free, listing is free with a teeny weeny FVF fee when an item is sold. And then there are the forums, a never ending collection of posts. Anyone who has a question usually has an answer within minutes. 'We Are Family' pretty much sums up the feeling you get when you become a Bonanzler. Try it, you'll love it.

Your Signature
The Selling Lounge gives a great deal of space in your signature to place many links to your selling venues, so please add your links. This is a wonderful way to get your links searched by search engines.

Please check the size of your banners in your signature as we are going to limit the size in everyone's siggy area. I'm thinking the size limit for banners should be no larger than 140px (height) by 500px (wide). Members have to scroll too much because of the siggy area and I would love for all of us to take the time to fix the size of our banners. I will allow ample time for us to clean up this area.
